Spring Cleaning.

Post date: 2012-04-19

Ok April's here and the weather is starting to look a lot like .. well ok not everyday has been paradise! Guess it really depends where in the country (or world) you are. Regardless of the actual weather, spring time is a season for cleaning out closets, getting the colourful clothes ready and shaping up your relationship muscles. Have you been hibernating all winter? Spring time is when we reassociate ourselves with our neighbours, take the dog on real walks and enjoy strolls by the lake. We encounter many more people than we usually do during winter months. Instead of brisk walks to the mailbox, or corner store people are taking their time to stroll enjoy the weather and visit patios with friends. Is it any wonder that spring time is the start of new romances for millions of people worldwide?
I'm definitely not an advocate of making any rash decisions when it comes to relationships however if your current relationship is in the winter doldrums maybe spring is the time to shake off the rust and try something new? Rollerblading, visiting new restaurants, night clubs, bed and breakfasts are all ways to spice up stagnant situations. Working out at the gym together is another great way to spend time with that special someone.

For those looking for that special someone, spring time is really time to get your flirt on! Spring time naturally makes us take note of the opposite sex. As we shed the winter layers of clothing we seem to open ourselves to more conversations, eye contact and smiles. All these add up to making us more attractive to others priming us to be a bulls eye for cupid's arrow.

It is so easy to get into a routine of doing the same thing every day. We can take the same way home from work, go to the gym at the same time and even walk our dogs around the same block. Spring is a good time to shake off the routine and try something new. When we change our routine we activate different parts of the brain making us break out of the "zombie mode" and we actually pay attention to what's going on around us. It is kind of hard to see that cute girl or guy smiling at you when you are thinking about what you are going to be making for dinner. Change that routine! Spring into the present moment and enjoy!!!
